Analyst

What are we looking for?

We are looking for an analyst to join our team. You will be responsible for providing strategic and financial advisory services in the context of mergers, acquisitions and other types of financial transactions, including debt and equity capital markets transactions. The environment at

The ideal candidate thinks strategically, is motivated, detail oriented, creative, outgoing, and possesses strong quantitative skills.

Your profile

The following general qualifications are required:

• 0 – 1 year of prior experience in investment banking;
• Strong analytical abilities and excellent understanding of financial statements analysis with the ability to work through key assumptions, implicit caveats, and limitations;
• Fundamental understanding of financial valuation theory, methodologies, and applications;
• Strong knowledge of Excel modelling;
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills in Dutch and English;
• Independent thinker and resourceful problem solver;
• Strong work ethic, organisational skills and ability to multitask;
• Demonstrated ability to work cooperatively with all levels of staff in a rapidly changing and demanding environment.

Your responsibilities

• Prepare and conduct client presentations: assisting in the preparation of pitch materials and information request lists to clients;
• Client management and managing day-to-day deal work: build relationships and maintain direct contact with clients, prospective clients and professional advisors;
• Coordinate due diligence and participate in due diligence meetings/discussions;
• Value companies and businesses: constructing and reviewing valuation and other financial analyses, including the guideline public companies, guideline precedent transactions, and discounted cash flow;
• Presenting valuation analyses and conclusions internally to review committees, externally to our clients’ senior management and boards of directors; and
• Reviewing client investment memoranda, board of directors presentations, specific debt and equity agreements, and financial models to develop an understanding of the company being analysed.

Paralegal – Mid Office Officer

(20-24 hours)

The company was founded in 2017 by a team of professionals with extensive experience gained at internationally renowned (investment) banks, big 4 consulting firms and asset management firms. 1602 Capital Partners consists of 18 entrepreneurial professionals who have carried out more than 40 deals since its founding.

Through its group company Eendracht Beheer, 1602 manages a variety of real estate and other investment propositions. This consists of direct investments in real estate or fund investments.
To professionalise the compliance, funding and reporting, the 1602 Group is looking to recruit a paralegal / mid office officer.

What are we looking for?

We are looking for a professional to support the mid and back office of our organization. We need assistance with our flow of documents and compliance regarding our investment portfolio.
This concerns KYC on the investor side as well as portfolio administration for the different classes of our assets under management. You will be responsible for the timely, accurate and complete filing to serve our investors and to assure that we comply with the rules & regulations. Experience with all legal aspects of contracts, compliance and KYC is essential to be successful in this role.

We offer flexible working and office hours. Weekly meetings are essential but could be scheduled within the available hours. Preferably, we look for a self-employed person (“ZZP-er”), yet we are flexible to cater other options and are open to cater for other ways of employment.

Your profile

The ideal candidate has a helicopter view, thinks strategically, has an eye for detail, is highly motivated and able to get things done, and ideally possesses strong quantitative skills.
The following general qualifications are required:

• 4 – 5 years (or longer) experience as a paralegal, corporate secretary or similar;
• Strong reporting and administrative (not specifically financial) skills;
• Basic understanding of legal contracts and compliance documentation;
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills in Dutch and English;
• Free spirit and able to cope with deadlines;
• Demonstrated ability to work cooperatively with all levels of staff in a rapidly changing and demanding environment.

Your responsibilities

• Prepare periodical reporting to investors and compliance institutions;
• Make sure all compliance requirements filings are up to date;
• Prepare and conduct team meetings for status updates of the projects.
